Good Morning....

Its summer time and I can't stop myself from making variety of heat beating drinks...

Here is another one.

My cousins gifted me a bag filled with goodies on my birthday and it had a pack of dried rose petals and it had a tiny recipe booklet (they exactly know what to gift me) and I am making the most of it now😊

When I was a kid I used to wear a rose on my small ponytail almost everyday and go to school. I loved the attention I got from my classmates and seniors (girls of course!) because of the roses I wore😉 They used to be really vibrant in colours, large and pretty. As soon as I reached school, there used to be race among few girls to get that rose from me at the end of the day! It was a first come first serve basis, so whoever asked me first would get the flower before I went home. And I donated the flowers every single time with pleasure🌹 Roses can make anyone happy and I was happy because I made someone else happy in a tiny possible way I could🥰

Little did I know one day in future I would be eating the same roses instead of wearing it on my head! Now that I know it can be used in so many ways other than what I knew years ago, I am going to give you the recipe of a simple yet very pleasant drink. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup milk

3-4 tbsp dried rose petals

8-10 pistachios crushed

2-3 cardamon pods

250 ml hot water

1 tsp instant coffee/espresso powder

3-4 tbsp sugar

Method:

- Heat the milk in a pan along with rose petals, sugar and cardamom

- Once the milk comes to boiling switch off the flame and keep it covered for 2 hours so that the flavour can get infused well

- In another cup heat the water and dissolve the coffee powder

- Once it cools down, add ice cubes to glasses and pour the black coffee/espresso

add in half of crushed pistachios and then pour the milk through sieve

- Garnish with rose petals, pistachio and serve

Cheers!
